Requirements
This version of P4V, The Perforce Visual Client, runs on:
- Mac OS X 10.1.x or higher
- RedHat Linux 7.2, 7.3 or 8.0 (built with 2.4.7 kernel and glibc 2.2.4-13)
P4V works with a Perforce Server at Release 2001.1 or higher.
Documentation
P4V Release 2003.1 is documented in help files embedded within the program.
A brief description of P4V can be found in the
P4V Introductory Tour.
User Audience
P4V is an end-user application designed for software developers. To this end:
-
P4V does not support operations that require Perforce superuser,
admin, or review privileges.
-
You can't use P4V to create new user specifications explicitly.
However you can open a connection as a new user and
then edit the specification for that user.
-
You can't use P4V without a valid client workspace.
P4V will prompt you to either
select an existing client workspace or create a new one
when you open a new connection.
It will not allow you to delete the currently active client
specification.
